(Cities without Magnets)
The city is not only a reality that is the subject of architecture or planning approaches. It is also necessary to understand every urban production or architect/planner intervention within the framework of various social reasons and to evaluate it within the framework of its social impacts and costs. From this perspective, the inclusion of values in the analysis is of particular importance. The main idea of the articles in the book is based on the assumption that many issues such as improving the quality of urban life, increasing social justice, equality and participation, and reducing poverty are also the minimum requirements for living humanely, and that analyses of urban problems should have actionable consequences. From this perspective, the essays in this book contain clues as to what both social policy makers and we, as residents of the city, should do about these issues.
