Lütfi Sunar

He received his PhD degree from Istanbul University, Department of Sociology in 2010 with a thesis titled “Karl Marx and Max Weber's Approaches to Eastern Societies”. She is currently working on sociological theory, orientalism, the other, social change, stratification and inequality. She is currently a faculty member at Istanbul Medeniyet University, Department of Sociology. His books include Marx and Weber on Oriental Societies, Business Partnerships in Turkey, Marx and Weber on Oriental Societies, Sociology of Change, Social Stratification, Social Structure and Change in Turkey, Eurocentrism at the Margin: Encounters, Critics and Going Beyond and Debates on Civilization in the Muslim Word: Critical Perspectives on Islam and Modernity.
