(Man and Society: Taşköprīzāde's Thought on Ethics and Politics)
It is possible to find in Taşköprīzāde's works the main currents of the heritage of Islamic science and thought that survived until the 16th century and the main discussion points of theoretical thought, and to see that he embraced these currents at different levels and demonstrated his vitality in these discussions. In this respect, he is an Ottoman scholar who blends the scholarly accumulation of his time and cannot be considered within a single school of thought. Perhaps one of the fields in which this characteristic of Ṭāshkubrīzāda is most evident is ethics. In this study, we examine his views on ethics and politics based on his works in different fields and also by comparing his sources with the literature of his time.
