Since 2002, the ILEM Academy has aimed to provide a perspective and knowledge to help individuals understand and comprehend human beings, society, and the world they inhabit.

The ILEM Academy is a two-year programme that requires academic discipline and continuity.

Throughout the program, participants are aimed to:

  • Develop an understanding of existence, history, and society,
  • Introduce the tradition of Islamic knowledge and thought,
  • Provide comprehensive moral solutions to contemporary problems,
  • Foster critical thinking and interpretive skills,
  • Enable participants to determine their areas of specialization,
  • Utilize scholarly knowledge and methods for evaluation and comparison,
  • Cultivate the ability to produce scientific works.

In this program, from the first year onwards, students benefit from lectures and workshops provided by expert instructors in addition to weekly readings, group work, and various educational supports. Furthermore, excursions and camps are also organized within the program. The ILEM Academy spans 2 years, consisting of 8-week sessions in the Fall and Spring semesters.

As ILEM, we emphasize the importance of group work as a distinguishing factor in our Academy Program. Through the central advisory system, which occupies a prominent position in the program, we enable each participant not only to enhance their academic and intellectual capabilities but also to receive guidance for personal development. Each student group (comprising 6-8 individuals) conducts their studies throughout the year under the supervision of an advisor.

Undergraduate students aspiring to join the ILEM Academy Program become eligible for participation following an interview conducted after submitting their application during the student admission period. (Applications are now closed.)
